Directory Submission is basically the procedure of submitting or listing your website in the sub-category of a directory. Directory Submission can be done safely by following certain steps; and first and foremost step is to submit the website in the correct and most relevant sub-category.
Steps that can’t be Ignored:
* Search Directories & Select a Directory
* Check the Directory, Whether it is SEO-Friendly or Not
* Select relevant Category
*fill-Up the Website Details
*Confirm the Submission
*Confirm the Submission via Email
Does directory submission work in 2018?
Google reads directory links as spam. Almost half of the directories are banned or penalized by giant search engine. So, BE CAREFUL. If you submit links in directories, you may rank; but in the long-run you could face ranking and indexing issues.
Whenever, you are submitting your links to any directory submission websites, cross check if they are penalized or not.But again, remember Not every links are same. Some local bussiness directories, Craft Site Directory, CSS Design, News, Jobs, Community, Web Standards, and DMOZdirectories have reputation in Google’s eye.
